New Hope to Asia
Ding and Mona Teodoro
Ding and Mona are Pastors of New Hope Christian Fellowship which is under the umbrella of "New Hope to Asia Christian Foundation Inc." It was established by Frank and Liz Amantea, pastors at Lighthouse Church in Calgary. Three years after it's inception, it was turned over to Ding and Mona.
Since 1999, New Hope To Asia has been reaching out to the street children of Cainta, Rizal in the Philippines. It started with a special Christmas party where children, mostly ages 3 to 12 years old, came as the result of a hand-out invitation. These children would beg for money or food on the streets. Sometimes they sold cigarettes and newspapers or would collect plastic and metal to sell at junk shops. 100 children were expected at that first party... 500 showed up. Thanks to God's gracious provision, all were fed and given small gifts.
In order to follow up on these children, a weekly Saturday meeting called “Superkids Bible Club” began. An average of 450 street children come every Saturday morning for a hot nutritious meal. They also receive memory verses, Bible stories and instruction in worship. Out of this ministry, former drug addicts, thieves and derelicts have become Christians. Some have been put through college and are now working. Through the financial support of others, youth who have been out-of-school are returning to classes.
New Hope To Asia continues to reach out to the poor of Cainta. A pre-school was launched in 2007 and additional grades are added each year as the Lord supplies funds and teachers. To help with the school, click here on contact information.
Gruar Squatter Village
Gruar is located in Cainta, a short distance from Brookside Subdivision where New Hope Christian Fellowship is located. Many of the children who have been influenced by Superkids Bible Club have come from this area.
Bagong Silong Squatter Village
This is another squatter area on the other side of Brookside Subdivision and close to New Hope Christian Fellowship. This area also has a strong turnout of children attending Superkids Bible Club.

Ministry Trip in April/May. 2010
New Hope To Asia headquarters in the Philippines.
Every Saturday an average of 450 kids gather at the new facility for bible lessons and a hot meal. Accurate records are kept to reward each child with perfect attendance at the end of each 12 week module.
The kids are always full of big smiles and eager to pose for the camera.
A special treat. Ice cream for everyone today!
Volunteers get the plates ready for the noon meal.
Every child who attends and learns the memory verse gets a hot meal consisting of rice, vegetables and chicken.
Rob and Angela Butler of Cochrane Valley Community Church visited the Philippines for the first time this year. Their ministry was a blessing to everyone.
The youth gather every Sunday night for worship, teaching and a meal.
This year we held a Pastor's and Leader's seminar. Many of the youth volunteered at the event.
Many came and were blessed by the teaching.
A trip to the Philippines wouldn't be complete without a bit of "beach ministry."
What was I thinking?
